LinT got its beginnings by complete accident. About 2 or 3 years ago, Ron and I were sitting around the dining room table and he was yammering about this Stump character he'd made up a while back just to make me guffaw when I said this:

"Hey Ron, wonder if I could draw The Stump?"

And he said with vague disinterest:

"Hey, I wonder."

So I drew The Stump.

Then I drew an elf next to him just to show how freakishly short Stump is. That elf developed a personality and a name, somehow, and before I knew it, I'd started drawing a comic page featuring Stump and Sangwine. Over the next two years I drew the first ten or fifteen very amateurish pages of LinT, usually only when my friends nagged me enough to make me do it.

I didn't start actually developing LinT as a comic and story until I submitted LinT to Keenspace in January of 2004, and it started running on a weekly basis. It's after that I discovered the addictive joy of drawing a comic. The characters gradually took control of the project in a creative coup, and now I'm merely a helpless slave to their whims. They say their story must be told, but don't be surprised if my pencil slips and I accidentally draw big moustaches on the lot of them.
